I was in orchestra, and we were having rehearsal outside. We were on a green lawn. It was overcast. It was just a second violin section and a bass section. I was in the second violin section. We were across from each other. The principal bassist wasn’t there, so Vivie got to take his place. She was really happy that she beat Caroline. In rehearsal, somehow I was talking to Vivie across the sections, and she told me that she took the guy’s place. I kept trying to ask her who the guy who was absent was, but she kept giving me answers to different questions instead.
