The Mall

I was at the mall with Mike H and Nicky.  The mall was really crowded, and it was difficult to keep track of each other.  Mike was wearing a gray, argyle sweater.  We were walking straight through the crowd to get to Subway because we were going there for lunch.

Eat fresh!

Eat fresh!

While we were walking, we passed a canary yellow awning to a store that caught my eye.  Mike started talking about something, and then Nicky muttered something with a “we don’t care,” tone, and she stopped walking so that we would lose him in the crowd.  I stopped with her and we began walking a different way.  I felt really badly for ditching him, and I said we should probably go find him.

We took the escalator and went to the top floor of the mall.  There were no people there.  The only place to  go up there was into one of the bathrooms.  I went into the ladies’ room, and said “Mike?”  I looked over at the person standing at the sink, and it was Mike’s dad, Mr. H.  I said, “Oh, hi, Mr. H.”  He was wearing a green sweater with a red shirt underneath.  It looked just like the outfit Andrew wore last Christmas.  He said hi, and I asked him if he knew that this was the women’s room.  He said “Oh,” and walked out.  The bathroom was very big with a tiled black and white floor, canary yellow walls, (the same as the awning) and red stalls.  I came out of the bathroom to find Mike and Nicky waiting for me.  I thought about making up an excuse for ditching Mike.  I was going to tell him that we lost track of him in the crowd, but he never asked, so I didn’t have to.

I also remember something about riding in the car with James.
